YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) -- A lieutenant injured in a York County ambush that killed three others has spoken for the first time as he recovers in the hospital.

Many in York County know Godfrey as the beloved K-9 handler who leads demonstrations each year at the York State Fair. A member of the York County Sheriff's Office, he has been recovering in the hospital since he was shot on Sept. 17 in an ambush at a North Codorus Township property.
