One of Australia’s big four banks has suffered a major technology break with systems shut down and customers unable to process transactions.

The outage is affecting many Commonwealth Bank customers across Australia with people struggling to do any online banking.

Services were coming back online on Thursday afternoon after reports of ATM’s closing themselves automatically.

“Some of our services are currently unavailable, and we’re urgently working to fix this,” the Bank said via messaging on their website. Loading Tweet

The Commonwealth Banking app was experiencing issues as many customers struggled to move funds between accounts.
