Jillian Tetzlaff notched the game-winning tally as part of a two-goal performance for Toms River North as it dug out of an early hole against Toms River East and held on for a 5-2 road win in Toms River.

Maddison Bognar struck first for Toms River East as it held a 1-0 lead through the first quarter. Tetzlaff tied the game at one apiece before Lucia Sanzaro followed with a goal of her own to stake North to a 2-1 edge at the half.

Tetzlaff found the back of the net once again to push North’s lead to two goals, and the teams traded goals in the fourth quarter. Layla Hayes and Ava Busacay scored the remaining goals for Toms River North (6-5).

Hannah Cutti scored a goal and Saige Maley chipped in an assist for Toms River East (6-5).
