All throughout October, South Texas Health System will have a series of events dedicated to educating the community about the early warning signs of breast cancer and the critical importance of early detection.

The events will also empower women to prioritize their mammo health, according to STHS.

During Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, STHS facilities are providing mammograms at a reduced price.

The first event is the Think Pink Parade, set for Saturday, Oct. 4 from 8 a.m. to noon at STHS McAllen, located at 301 W. Expressway 83.

More information is available on the STHS website.
