A pool on a block of land in the Byron Bay hinterland has splashed onto the market with a price guide of a cool $4.2 million to $4.6 million.
The top of the price guide is nearly four times the median house price across Australia’s capital cities of $1,207,857, on Domain data.
The pool at 126 Old Byron Bay Road in Newrybar is next to a palm tree on a block of 7985 square metres. There is no house.
“The owner demolished the old house but left the pool,” selling agent Tara Torkkola of First National Byron said.
“He thought, why get rid of the pool when he didn’t know how long it would take to build a house, but obviously, he’s selling now. Why not have a beautiful pool while you’re doing your build?”
