Multiple states, including Karnataka, West Bengal, Jharkhand, and Odisha, are bracing for heavy rainfall on Thursday, October 2, 2025. The torrential showers, accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds, are likely to disrupt the Dussehra celebrations today. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted intense showers to lash parts of East, Central, West, South Peninsular, and Northeast India.
According to IMD, a fresh western disturbance looms over Northwest India from October 5 to 7
