NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge on Thursday to check on his health. In a post on X, PM Modi said, “Spoke to Kharge Ji. Enquired about his health and wished him a speedy recovery. Praying for his continued well-being and long life.” Acknowledging the message, Kharge said in his post, “Thank you for the wishes, @narendramodi ji.” Kharge, 83, and the leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha opposition, was admitted to a private hospital in Bengaluru late Tuesday night after experiencing uneasiness and breathlessness. Doctors said he had a viral fever last week, and his heart rate was low upon admission.
