New Delhi, Oct 02: The Union Cabinet approved an additional 3% increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) for Central Government employees and Dearness Relief (DR) for pensioners, effective July 1, 2025.

This raises the DA to 58% of Basic Pay/Pension, incurring an annual cost of Rs. 10,083.96 crore, benefiting approximately 49.19 lakh employees and 68.72 lakh pensioners, as per the 7th Central Pay Commission’s recommendations.
