Charlie Hunnam has admitted he thinks the next season of Ryan Murphy ’s true crime drama Monster could well be just as controversial as the first two.

The Sons Of Anarchy actor takes the lead in the next season of Monster as the infamous serial killer Ed Gein, the murderer of two women who also desecrated the bodies of many others.

While the first season of the Netflix anthology series faced controversy as many felt it focussed too much on Jeffrey Dahmer rather than his victims, effectively glorifying the serial killer , and the second about the Menéndez brothers was met with criticism for a slew of other reasons , Charlie admitted to Variety he thinks he could also be accused of letting Gein “ off the hook a bit too much”.
