Herbert Hoover’s football team hasn’t looked back since a season-opening loss at Independence on Aug. 28.
Except for a one-point win at home over Nitro in their third game of the season, the Huskies have crushed every one of their opponents, offensively and defensively, since the loss in Raleigh County.
Hoover will take a four-game winning streak into Friday’s 7 p.m. contest against South Charleston in Elkview. It will be the second time this season the Huskies will be home, and the first since they defeated the Wildcats on Sept. 12.
Wins over Winfield, Nitro, Lincoln County and Point Pleasant, which came last Friday, showcased a balanced attack for Hoover.
The 14 points scored by Nitro is the most Hoover has given up since allowing 37 to Independence. Lincoln County and Point Pleasant
