PORT HURON, MI — What began as a scrappy act of self-promotion nearly a decade ago has evolved into one of Michigan’s most distinctive horror and genre film festivals.

The Desmond District Demons Film Festival , founded in 2016 by filmmakers Tyler Moldovan, A.V. Brown and Justin Thomas Squire, will return Oct. 10–11 for its eighth official season, bringing short films, features and eerie experiences to the American Legion Hall in downtown Port Huron.
