Amazon is gearing up for the holiday shopping season by hiring more than 7,000 seasonal workers across Canada. The jobs will be spread across the company’s fulfilment centres, sortation centres, and delivery stations from coast to coast, with hiring starting this month and continuing through December.
Seasonal roles will cover warehouse tasks such as stowing, picking, packing, sorting, and shipping orders. Jobs are listed on hiring.amazon.ca , and Amazon says openings fill quickly as demand ramps up ahead of the holidays.
Amazon has also raised its average hourly base pay for eligible Canadian frontline employees to $24.50—a 4.3% increase over last year’s $23.50. The company says full-time workers will now earn a minimum annual salary of $50,960 (based on 40 hour work week over 52 weeks)
