MUZAFFARABAD: At least 12 civilians were killed in Pakistani security forces firing on protesters in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The protests are being held over the government's failure to meet their 38 key demands. It is one of the largest protests in recent years.

The protests have been going on for the past three days. Protesters clashed with the army in Dadyal. The government has deployed thousands of troops to counter it. Apart from Muzaffarabad, the violence has also spread to Rawalakot, Neelam Valley and Kotli.

Reports said five protesters were reported to have been shot dead in Muzaffarabad, five in Dhirkot and two in Dadyal. Three policemen were reportedly killed. More than 200 people were injured. Many are in critical condition.
