Ahmedabad, Oct 2 (UNI) Mohammed Siraj, Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav turned the first Test on its head as West Indies crumbled to 162 all out at the stroke of Tea at the Narendra Modi Stadium here today.
Siraj opened the floodgates, cleaning up Tagenarine Chanderpaul for a duck before sending back Brandon King and Alick Athanaze. Bumrah then reminded everyone why he is the master of chaos — John Campbell thought he was safe, but UltraEdge said otherwise, and he was walking back after a couple of classy drives.
Then came Siraj’s magic. Brandon King misjudged a nip-backer, the stumps flew, and Siraj wheeled away like Ronaldo. Alick Athanaze followed shortly after, nicking to KL Rahul. Three wickets before lunch, West Indies wobbling at 42 for 4, and it was only the beginning.
