Pune, October 2, 2025: The Association of Nagar Road Citizens Forum has submitted a detailed to the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and Pune Traffic Police, urging them to address immediate issues before implementing long-term congestion strategies.

The forum’s convenor, , in a letter to PMC Commissioner Naval Kishore Ram and Additional Commissioner of Police (North) Manoj Patil, stressed that while plans to ease gridlock at are welcome, “low-hanging fruits” must be resolved first to ensure success.

Key recommendations include: halting excessive construction that fuels migration and vehicle growth, prioritising , converting amenity spaces into , reviving dead parking areas like Bal Gandharva, and enforcing the across all arterial roads.
