Brisbane coach Chris Fagan has all but confirmed dual premiership defender Brandon Starcevich will head to West Coast, farewelling him at the club’s best-and-fairest night.

Starcevich has long been linked to the Eagles, with the struggling club reportedly offering a six-year deal for his services, but a concussion suffered during their grand final victory cast doubts over his playing future.

However, it appears those concerns have been allayed with Fagan thanking Starcevich for his service to the club.

“Callum Ah Chee and Brandon Starcevich will be taking their option to move on to other clubs for next year,” he said.

“We all understand why that’s happening, we’re just incredibly grateful for what they’ve done for our club, it’s part and parcel of the business.
