Three shark sightings have been reported every day since the start of spring, as authorities warn of increased shark activity off the Perth coast.

It comes as two groups of kayakers were stalked by monster sharks in recent days, triggering multiple beach evacuations in Perth’s northern suburbs.

A 5m shark was spotted circling five kayakers about 600m off the coast of Hillarys Dog Beach on Wednesday morning.

And on Saturday, a great white shark was seen stalking four kayakers about 1km off Hillarys Beach.

Video footage of the terrifying encounter shows the apex predator coming close to the surface and swimming beneath the paddlers.
