Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport will remain open and operational during the federal government shutdown.

Essential federal services like security screening, air traffic control and customs are operating with no immediate impact from the shutdown.

“BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport is experiencing normal operations despite the shutdown of the federal government,” BWI Airport said in a statement.

Officials said services like parking, concessions and customer service are not affected since they are not dependent on federal funding.
