Tim Sherwood says Marcus Rashford looked ‘bang average’ in Barcelona’s 2-1 Champions League defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.

Rashford has shined since joining the La Liga side on loan from Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

The England international has conjured up five assists and two goals across his first nine appearances for the Catalan club.

Rashford provided the assist for Ferran Torres’ goal against PSG on Wednesday before the European champions secured a comeback win.

But Sherwood was critical of Rashford during the game, claiming he was ‘bang average’ in comparison to his Barcelona teammate Lamine Yamal.
