Continuing its efforts to eradicate menace of drugs from the society, J&K police have arrested 05 drug peddlers in Baramulla & Budgam and recovered contraband substances from their possession.

In Baramulla, acting on credible inputs, J&K Police laid naka checkpoints at Wussan and Chichlora crossings. During checking at Wussan, a vehicle (Wagon-R) bearing Reg. No. DL6CL-4065 was intercepted with 03 persons onboard. During their personal search, heroin-like substance weighing 19 grams was recovered. They have been identified as Imtiyaz Ahmad Magray, son of Bashir Ahmad Magray, Furkaan Ahmad Lone, son of Manzoor Ahmad Lone, Danish Ahmad Lone, son of Mohammad Shamim Lone all residents of Merchipora, Tangmarg.
