As a 21-year veteran of the Air Force, I listened with interest to the Secretary of War Pete Hegseth's recent lecture to the gathering of the nation's top generals and admirals.

His version of the warrior ethos looked to me as if Doogie Houser was lecturing Dr. Marcus Welby. M.D., on his "woke" bedside manner.
