PAGELAND, S.C. — A judge has denied bond for four adults charged in the death of a 9-year-old in Chesterfield County.

Brody Langley was shot and killed in the parking lot of a Pageland gas station along Highway 9 Sunday morning.

Investigators now say his parents, Raven Deese and James Langley, brought him to a planned fight where the shooting eventually unfolded. They are both facing 12 charges each, including homicide by child abuse.

Two others, 17-year-old Bryson Deese and 28-year-old James Jordan, are charged with murder. Bryson Deese is also charged with possession of a firearm by a person under 18. He is being tried as an adult. Jordan is also being charged with possession of a firearm by a felon.
