Two Delta jets collided into each other while taxiing on the runway at LaGuardia Airport in New York City Wednesday (October 1) night, CBS News reports.
The "low-speed collision" took place when Endeavor Air Flight 5155, a plane departing for Roanoke, Virginia, that was carrying 28 passengers and four crewmembers, suddenly crashed into an arriving Endeavor Air Flight 5047, a plane arriving from Charlotte, North Carolina, which was carrying 57 passengers and four crew members. Delta confirmed that the wing of Flight 5155 collided with the fuselage of Flight 5047, which resulted in one flight attendant sustaining a minor injury and receiving treatment from EMTs at the scene.
The Port Authority confirmed that the individual was taken to a hospital to receive treatment for the injury
