The Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) on Thursday launched its statewide ‘Gandhi Path Yatra’ from the state’s southern border at Motu in Malkangiri district.

The march, led by PCC President Bhakta Charan Das, is aimed at protesting against the alleged deterioration of law and order, lack of development, and rising crimes against women in the state.

Upon his arrival at Motu, Das was accorded a warm welcome by party workers and local residents. He was taken to Mughi Point, Odisha’s last border outpost, where he, along with Odisha Youth Congress Working President Krushna Chandra Mohanty, inaugurated the yatra.

The programme began with floral tributes at a statue of Mahatma Gandhi at Mughi Point, followed by a public meeting where Das launched a scathing attack on the state government
