The Tulsa Fire Department has identified the firefighter killed in a five-vehicle crash on Tuesday in Owasso as Lieutenant Brian Bizzell, a 27-year veteran of the department.

Police said the crash happened near 116th Street North and Garnett Road when a speeding truck struck a line of vehicles stopped at a red light. The impact caused a fuel spill that ignited a large fire. Two other people remain in critical condition.

First responders escorted Bizzell’s body to the medical examiner’s office on Wednesday as firefighters lined the route to salute his service.
