Next weekend's Patriots game has a new start time.

The NFL announced the Oct. 12 game against the Saints in New Orleans will be played at 1 p.m. ET on CBS, moving it from the previously scheduled 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff.

The Patriots-Saints game is being flipped with the NFC matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which will now be played in the late window. Both of those teams are 3-1 entering Week 5.

For the first time in a few years, a Patriots game being flexed out of a national window isn't an indictment on New England. The Patriots are 2-2 with a young and talented quarterback in Drake Maye.

Instead, it's the 0-4 Saints that are likely the root cause of this decision. Spencer Ratt
