BELOIT, Ill. (WTVO) — Beloit Police are searching for the suspect in an overnight shooting that left one man dead and another injured.

According to authorities, police were called to the 1500 block of White Avenue around 3 a.m.

There, police said a group of individuals was gathered inside the residence when the shooting took place.

A 51-year-old man suffered a fatal gunshot wound.

Another man, 41 years old, arrived at a local hospital after being shot in the same incident, police said. He is expected to survive.

Police are asking any witnesses to come forward to help identify the suspect in the crime.
