ATLANTA ( WANF /Gray News) - An Atlanta mother has been charged with murder nearly six months after her young son died when his head got stuck in a car window.
Atlanta Police arrested 32-year-old Kandice Grace on Monday. She faces charges of second-degree murder and second-degree child cruelty for her alleged involvement in the death of her son.
On April 6, police responded to an unresponsive person near an apartment building in southwest Atlanta. Officers found a boy in a car who was not alert, conscious or breathing.
The child “was seen stuck in the back window possibly being strangled,” according to a police incident report. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
