An Arizona State University student who stabbed a classmate because she was an "easier target" than other students has pleaded guilty to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and felony disorderly conduct, according to court documents.

Kaci Lenise-Charlie Sloan, 19, decided to assault fellow students at the ASU West campus after experiencing "self-doubt issues," court records said. She wrote letters to family and friends before the Sept. 19, 2024, attack, saying she was sorry for what she was about to do, records said.
