Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) [India], October 2 (ANI): Senior Congress leader K Muraleedharan on Thursday accused Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh ( RSS ) of acting "behind the curtains" in the murder of Mahatma Gandhi, adding that the Sangh Parivar has no "significant" role in the Indian freedom movement, hence Prime Minister Narendra Modi has resorted to lies.

Speaking to ANI, Muraleedharan said, "They have done nothing for the freedom struggle. The RSS leaders have never participated in it, and at the same time, they are behind the curtain for the killing of the father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi. That is why the prime minister is lying about this matter."
