Even though the form sits outside the official canon, its striking design and primal energy have cemented it as a fan favorite. With Dragon Ball Daima revisiting some familiar concepts, many expected the anime to honor GT’s most memorable moments.

However, a recent interview, translated by @Venixys on X, with producer Akio Iyoku revealed that Daima intentionally skipped a direct callback to Super Saiyan 4’s debut. The creative team worked closely with Akira Toriyama on a new design, but one detail from GT’s original transformation was specifically removed at Toriyama’s request.
