PITTSBURGH —
A woman in her 70s has died after being hit by a vehicle in Pittsburgh's South Side on Wednesday.
According to authorities, the woman was crossing the road at Sidney Street and South 28th Street when she was hit by a vehicle. Advertisement
The woman, who has not been identified, was taken to a hospital where she later died.
The driver of the vehicle that hit her stayed on scene to talk to police.
"In the upcoming weeks, the city’s Vision Zero Fatal Crash Response Team, which includes the Pittsburgh Police Collision Investigation Unit, will complete a site visit to evaluate potential crash factors," Pittsburgh Public Safety said in a release.
