A best-selling author will join the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of North Dakota to discuss book bans and censorship efforts at noon Tuesday, Oct. 7, at the Raugust Library on the University of Jamestown’s campus.

Lang and Cody Schuler, advocacy manager for ACLU of North Dakota, will talk about book bans and censorship efforts and why it’s important for young people — especially LGBTQ+ and Two-Spirit youth — to see themselves reflected and represented in the books they read, ACLU said.
