Lansing — Michigan House Speaker Matt Hall said Thursday morning that there won't be a second stopgap funding measure for state government "under any circumstance," as lawmakers continue to pursue an annual budget plan in the Capitol.
Hall, a Republican from Richland Township, made the comment, as the GOP-led House and Democratic-led Senate are expected to spend much of Thursday seeking a compromise on a budget that will likely amount to about $80 billion in spending for the fiscal year that began Wednesday.
