LEWIS COUNTY, Wash. — The Tacoma Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit seized a “record-breaking” number of narcotics during a warrant search in Lewis County last month.

In a news release Wednesday, officials said this was a part of an ongoing investigation into a narcotics trafficker from California who has been traveling to Washington.

After extensive surveillance, undercover officers intercepted the man in Lewis County last Sunday, where the narcotics operation was taking place.

According to the Tacoma Police Public Information Officer Shelbie Boyd, “Officers stopped the vehicle, searched it, and made an arrest vs allowing for further transport of the narcotics.”
