STREATOR, Ill. (WMBD) -- A teenager was arrested after Streator officers responded to gunshots on Wednesday evening.
A 17-year-old boy was arrested on aggravated assault and aggravated discharge of a firearm, according to a post on the Streator Police Department Facebook page.
At approximately 7:45 p.m. on Oct. 1, officers went to the 600 block of East Hickory Street after receiving a report of gunshots, the post said.
It said officers found evidence that a gun was fired in the area.
Someone drove a vehicle and went to the Streator Police Department around the time of the report, which appeared to have several bullet holes.
During the investigation, the 17-year-old was identified as a suspect and found in South Streator. He was detained and taken to the police department.
As a result
