WASHINGTON -- Senator Ted Cruz, R-Texas, made an unfortunate gaffe this week while attempting to mock a colleague during a Senate hearing on crime. After addressing someone who appeared in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee Tuesday and thanking them for their time, Cruz turned his attention to comments made by Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J. earlier in the hearing.
In the comments, Booker called for bipartisan solutions to ongoing crime issues in the United States. Cruz addressed the comments by appearing to mock Booker, before making a verbal slip-up.
