A 22-year-old old man allegedly enrolled at a Minnesota high school posing as a teen and played on the football team

The man is currently in custody on unrelated charges

School officials reportedly said the man used fraudulent documentation in order to enroll

A 22-year-old Minnesota man allegedly posed as a teenager in order to play high school football.

White Bear Lake Area High School principal Russell Reetz said in a letter to parents, which was subsequently reported by KSTP , KARE and WCCO , that a person over the age of 21 had "provided fraudulent documentation and a false identity to enroll" in the school.

The reported letter said that the person is now in police custody and is not allowed on school property.

WCCO reported that the man is being held in jail
