SYRACUSE, Neb. (KOLN) - A train derailed Thursday morning near Frontier Cooperative, south of Syracuse, following a suspected collision with a semi-truck. The semi appears to have collided with the parked train, causing the derailment.
This incident follows a similar train-semi collision that occurred earlier Thursday morning west of Grand Island.
As a result of the derailment, K Road is currently closed from Highway 50 to Angle Road.
We’ve reached out to BNSF Railway for details and will share more details when they become available.
