In recent viral social media posts, Elon Musk and several conservative social media accounts have called for people to cancel Netflix.

Libs of TikTok, the popular social media account founded by right-wing influencer Chaya Raichik, posted a clip from an animated show called “Dead End: Paranormal Park” and alleged that the show “is pushing pro-transgender” on children and that parents should “beware.” The post was quoted by Musk, who wrote “This is not ok,” on Sept. 29.

According to the show’s description on Netflix, “Dead End: Paranormal Park” is about two teens and a talking pug who battle demons at a haunted theme park. The show is rated TV-Y7, which means it’s suitable for children ages seven and up. It ran for two seasons, the second of which was released in 2022.
