RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Two Wake County businesses received top honors in the small business category of the 2025 "Coolest Things Made in NC" contest, the NC Chamber said Thursday.

The contest, sponsored by the NC Chamber, divided businesses in the Tar Heel State into three categories based on their number of employees. Those with less than 100 employees were placed in the small business category, those with between 100 and 999 employees were placed in the medium business category, and those with at least 1,000 employees were placed in the large business category.

Ordway Glass Company in Fuquay-Varina won the small business category for its custom stained glass, according to the NC Chamber.

The organization said AFEX Fire Suppression Systems in Raleigh placed second in the small business
