WAUSAU − The Marathon County Sheriff's Office has released the names of two people killed in a head-on crash Sept. 26 on State 52.

Shirley L. Erickson, 81, and Arlen Erickson, 82, both of the town of Wausau, were killed in a two-vehicle crash that happened at 10:01 p.m. Sept. 26, according to a news release from the Sheriff's Office.

The crash happened near the intersection of State 52 and Forest Lawn Road in the town of Wausau, according to the news release.

One person received serious injuries in the crash and was transported to a local hospital. A fourth person was treated at the scene.
