Kylie Kelce has a full family life with husband Jason Kelce, but things haven't always been sunny.

During the Oct. 2 episode of "Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce," the media personality, who welcomed her fourth child with the NFL veteran in March, opened up about the couple's 2018 pregnancy, which ended in a miscarriage.

Recalling the health ordeal proved to be emotional for Kelce, who teared up at various points as she detailed the harrowing incident.

"I emphasize the fact that this still hurts after having four children because it does. And it's OK," Kelce, 33, said. "For people who are still in their journey and have not yet gotten over the hump of getting to meet your tiny humans that you're making, I am so sorry."

The Kelces welcomed their first child, 6-year-old daughter Wyatt, in October 2019. The couple also shares three other daughters: Elliotte, 4; Bennett, 2; and Finnley, 7 months.

'Guarded' Kylie Kelce celebrated pregnancy with Jason Kelce's family before miscarriage

Kelce, who first learned she was pregnant around August 2018, was informed that the baby was measuring "a few days late" during an appointment at the six-week mark of her pregnancy.

Despite the health update, Kelce's doctor reassured the podcaster that the pregnancy was "still within normal limits." Weeks later, Kelce and husband Jason traveled to London with family, where they told the Kelce clan they were expecting.

"I was very much aware of the rate at which people lose pregnancies, and so I was very guarded about telling people outside of my immediate circle," Kelce said. But she and Jason "made it a point" to share the baby news with Jason Kelce's family.

"We surprised Jason's mom and dad with a video. We also surprised Jason's Aunt Judy and his grandmother, Grandma Mary," Kelce continued, getting choked up. On a separate occasion, Jason Kelce's brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, was given "little baby booties" to commemorate the pregnancy.

Kylie Kelce reveals she had to tell Jason Kelce about pregnancy on birthday

The week after the London trip, Kelce went to the doctor for her scheduled check-up. During the appointment, Kelce was informed that she had miscarried, adding that the baby may have "stopped developing" between nine and 10 weeks.

"It felt like everything went into slow motion, and they could not find the baby on the doppler," Kelce said. "Essentially, I had what you would refer to as a missed miscarriage. It means that your body did not realize that the pregnancy was no longer viable."

Kelce said she learned of the miscarriage on Jason Kelce's birthday. "I called my mom and told her that I couldn't tell Jason because it was his birthday, which seems very silly, because obviously I'm going to tell my husband what happened. And I did. And it was hard for both of us," she reflected.

Kelce said the emotional difficulties of the miscarriage "messed with my brain" and made her more guarded in navigating future pregnancies.

"For Wyatt, we did not share that we were pregnant until I was after 20 weeks. For consecutive pregnancies, I waited till I was at least 16 weeks," Kelce explained. "I Googled almost every week what the percentage likelihood was that a baby could survive, which sounds really dark."
