Ozzy Osbourne’s sad death shocked fans all over the world , but he and his family put the wheels in motion well in advance to ensure his dying wishes were fulfilled.
The Black Sabbath frontman’s final years will be depicted in a new BBC documentary, Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home, on October 2 at 9pm. The film will take an intimate look at the star’s farewell gig at Villa Park in Birmingham - where he grew up - just days before his final moments at his home.
Surrounded by family, Ozzy died aged 76 at his Buckinghamshire mansion, Welders House, in the tiny village of Jordans. The Grade II listed building has a rose garden and a copy of the Bethesda Fountain found in Central Park in New York.
Ozzy was interred in a new grave near a lake on the family's 250-acre property
