A popular Chinese influencer has died after being involved in an aircraft accident — which was documented on a livestream.
Tang Feiji, a 55-year-old content creator, died Saturday when he lost control of his single-seat aircraft before it plummeted to the ground and burst into flames in Jiange County, central China, according to Chinese News Service (CNS)
The influencer was filming a video to post on his social media accounts and simultaneously livestreaming the event.
Feiji, who was not wearing a helmet or a parachute at the time, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to CNS.
The livestream was being viewed by hundreds of people as Feiji had a following of over 100,000 on Chinese short-form video platform Douyin.
