Another round on the Korn Ferry Tour, another 59. OK, maybe that's minimizing an amazing golf feat just a tad, but we do now have the 16th round of 59 or better on the development circuit.
Davis Chatfield is the latest to do so, pulling it off in the 2025 Compliance Solutions Championship on Thursday at The Patriot Golf Club in Owasso, Oklahoma.
Chatfield was 4 under through nine holes before torching the back nine, going birdie-par-birdie-par-birdie-albatross-birdie-par-birdie for a 28. His clinched his 59 in style, hammering home a 40-footer for birdie. He then raised his right fist in celebration with a huge smile on his face.
And you read that right. He made a 2 on the par-5 15th hole for an albatross.
The Attleboro, Massachusetts, native and Notre Dame grad is 26 and turned pro in 2022. This is his 73rd event on the Korn Ferry Tour. His best finish is a second, which he's done twice. He also has two thirds in his career. He's ranked 194th in the Official World Golf Ranking.
In June, the 14th and 15th sub-60 rounds on the circuit came just two days apart in the same event.
The Compliance Solutions Championship is the third of four Korn Ferry Tour Finals events. Just the top 75 after Sunday's final round will advance to the Korn Ferry Tour Championship in Newburgh, Indiana, next weekend. Those 75 golfers are also fully guaranteed KFT status in 2026.
The bigger prize is for the top 20 on the Korn Ferry Tour Points List after next week, as they will each earn a PGA Tour card for 2026.
