Pat Lam has outlined why securing the services of club captain Fitz Harding on a new contract is key to Bristol Bears ' future.

The 26-year-old Bristol skipper, who made his 100 th competitive appearance – and 50 th as captain – in the club's Gallagher PREM Round One victory over Leicester Tigers at Ashton Gate, joined the Bears from University of Durham in the summer of 2020 and in 2023, became the second youngest Premiership captain in the club’s history after England international Martin Corry in 1996/97.
