HARDIN COUNTY, Ky. —

A man who sold fentanyl to someone who overdosed and died is headed to prison.

Kentucky Attorney General Russell Coleman announced the conviction of Aadyn Kristopher-Nelson Durbin, 18, of Hardin County.

Durbin pleaded guilty in Hardin County to second-degree manslaughter, a Class C felony; trafficking in controlled substances, (carfentanil or fentanyl derivatives), also a Class C felony; and trafficking in marijuana less than 8 ounces, a Class D felony.

Durbin admitted to knowingly selling fentanyl to the victim, who was a minor.

The victim died in December 2024.

As part of the plea deal, Durbin cannot have any contact with the victim's family or attend any events at Elizabethtown Independent Schools.
