LIBERTY TWP, Ohio - Demolition is underway in Liberty Township at the site of a deadly fireworks explosion.

Crews have begun tearing down the home on Montrose Street, where a June 7th blast killed two people.

The explosion is believed to have been caused by the use of illegal homemade fireworks in the home. YPD Lieutenant Mohammad Awad told 21 News these fireworks "way exceed anything you can get commercially."

The blast killed 34-year-old Justin Braun, and critically injured his son 4-year-old Jakob Braun, who died months later in August.
