MADISON, Wis. -- USL W League Madison has its first-ever signing. Edgewood High School grad Sonoma Bever will return to Madison for the team's inaugural season next year.
Bever was an absolute superstar during her time as a Crusader. The forward became the first player in program history to score 100 goals, scoring her 100th during the regional final her Junior year. She made national headlines in 2025 after scoring a goal directly from a corner kick to send Edgewood to the state championship game. Video of the goal was featured on SportsCenter's Top 10.
A captain of Edgewood's 2025 conference championship-winning team, Bever was also named the 2025 conference player of the year. She earned All-Region honors in all for years of her high school career and was named first-team All-State in
